TIN MODEL

AIM: To create a triangulated irregular network(TIN) from DEM raster data.
Youtube Tutorial: https://youtu.be/4teqFQaIsdI
MATERIAL USED : ArcMap 10.2
PROCEDURE
1.Open ArcMap 10.2 click on blank template hit ok or double click
2.To add image: Add image tab locate image file ok (Link for Practice Material Below)
Add the DEM DATA of TVM. (Add both DEM and boundary of TVM)
3.Shapefile change to hollow
4.Extract tvm DEM by the mask
Spatial Analysis tool Extraction Extract by mask
Input – Dem Layer
Input Feature – Hollow Shapefile (Tvm_dist)
Output – Tvm_Dem
5.3D analyst raster surface contour
Input— DEM
Output –  contour40
Contour interval 40
6.3D analyst data management TIN Create TIN
Output – TIN_tvm40
Spacial reference projected coordinate system UTM WGS1984
Northern Hemisphere 43N
Input – contour40 (Soft type = mass pint)
Input – TVM (high field -= none, SF type = Soft clip)
Ok

NETWORK ANALYSIS

AIM: To create and analyze the given water pipeline system
MATERIAL USED
ArcMap 10.2
PROCEDURE
1.Open ArcMap 10.2 click blank ok
2.Add the image
3.To create a personal geodatabase
Arc Catalogue create new folder right click new
personal geodatabase (ref to geodatabase practical)
4.Right click new feature dataset (pipeline) next
geographical coordinate system World WGS1984 next next finish
5.Create feature class for line and point features in the same manner
Pipeline right click new feature class class name next
enter field name and type ( e.g: name – text, subtype- short integer ) finish
(pipeline right click new feature class class name next
enter field name and type (e.g: name –  text, subtype – shortinteger) finish
6.Layer right click properties coordinate system globe icon
clear apply ok (only for this)
7. Line features class right click property subtype
set subtype field as subtype clear the code number and subtype name apply ok
*Repeat the step 7  for other point features
8.Remove the feature from the table of content and drag the feature from the catalogue to
the table of content
9.Change the colors of the subtype just like the color gave in the map.
10.To digitize the map: Click line distribution featureSelect straight segment
*Mark the line for distribution features in the same method for the subtypes
11.Mark every line and point features in the same methods for the subtypes
12.After digitization
Dataset (pipeline) right click new geometric network next tick features
Line – role set as complex edge
Point – source set as yes
Next next finish
13.Editor star editor
14.Layer point click right attribute table set intake as source
15.On utility table by right click on the task bar
Flow display arrow
16.To edit the error
Locate the error by simply zoom at the error location Select features tool
click at the error features then open attribute table delete the feature
17.For Analysis, Select flag from the utility toolbox and put the flag at any point then
set the analysis type click the solve tool
18.To remove the flag or analysis
Analysis clear flag or clear result

SUPERVISED CLASSIFICATION in ERDAS imagine

AIM: To supervise classification and interpret raster image
Material used: Erdas imagine and ArcGIS 10.2
PROCEDURE
1. To add image
Right click on the workspace open raster image
(The opened fata should be in ‘.img’ format)
If any error is there in the image, it will show by a yellow exclamation mark.
Right click image layer Recitify

2.Select Raster from the menu bar classification Supervise Signature edit
a window will appear, in that add the sample signature
Take drawing from the menu bar Rectangle Select a portion for sampling
Click on the ‘signature editor/ window that appear sp that the selected sample will be available.
Give the class name for the samples.
Take 5 minimum sample for each classification ( no. of sample selected is based on area of project).
If we repeat the same value, it can be deleted
  1. Click file from the menu bar of ‘signature editor window, save the signature edits (save in ‘.sig’ format
  1. Raster classification supervise supervised classification
Input is automatically taken by the system
Set the ‘.sig’ input
Set the output to ‘img’ format
Hit ok
Processing

  1. Again right click on the workspace Open new raster
